Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce the two parts of our recent work on two-dimensional topological phases. (1) The charge-compensated n-p codoping scheme is adopted to induce high-temperature quantum anomalous Hall effect in both magnetic topological insulators and graphene, with a sizable surface band gap and higher ferromagnetic Curie temperature. (2) The spin-flip disorder can lead to anomalous Anderson localization. (3) The spatially varying electric field can result in a valley-helical topologically confined 1D modes. Here, we report the first experimental realization of this mode in an AB-stacking bilayer graphene. We also show the transport properties of these topologically confined modes in the presence of disorders and magnetic field.
